Ivana Bodrozic

*1982 in Vukovar, Kroatien. She published two books of poetry: Prvi korak u tamu (2005), awarded by Goran and Kvirin awards and translated into Spanish (Primer paso a la oscuridad, 2011), and Prijelaz za divlje životinje (Wildlife Crossing, 2012). Her poems were translated into several European languages and included in a number of anthologies. Her debut novel, Hotel Zagorje (2010), won the Kiklop Award for the best work of fiction, the Josip and Ivan Kozarac Prize, and the Kocicevo Pero Award. Hotel Zagorje was translated into German, French, Slovene, Czech and Macedonian, and it will be turned into a film directed by Jasmila Žbanic.
