On his mother´s request a son is procuring the flowers for his father´s lover´s funeral. Two lovers are trapped in a life without options. Painful childhood memories are awoken when a young man and his father are tending to the garden of their ruined house.

Against the background of politics in collapsing Ex-Yugoslavia Simic´s stories are dealing with hope and disappointment, loyalty and treachery and with the impossibility to understand another one completely.
